Our country's offshore wind power started relatively late and is basically located in tidal flats and shallow water areas. At present, the construction of offshore wind power research and development bases in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and other provinces has the phenomenon of independent and disorderly development. The five years of the "13th Five-Year Plan" are the five years of rapid development of my country's offshore wind power. By the end of 2020, my country's cumulative grid-connected installed capacity of offshore wind power exceeded 7.5 million kilowatts, exceeding the "13th Five-Year Plan" target. During this period, the construction of offshore wind power bases in coastal areas such as Guangdong, Jiangsu, Fujian, and Shandong is in full swing. According to industry insiders interviewed, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, my country's offshore wind power development prospects are optimistic. However, the current over-homogenized offshore wind power base construction has caused serious waste of resources. It is recommended to increase national level coordination and focus on improving Technological innovation and our country's capacity for independent innovation.

Offshore wind power bases everywhere

If we say that the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" are the initial development period of my country's large-scale wind power bases, the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" is the explosion period of the construction of onshore wind power bases and offshore wind power bases. Today, the investment boom in onshore wind power bases is repeating itself in the offshore sector. Although my country's offshore wind power base is still like a toddler, it has made great strides.

The reporter found out that nowadays, my country’s offshore wind power bases are far more than the three provinces of Jiangsu, Fujian, and Guangdong that the national "13th Five-Year Plan" focuses on. Hebei, Liaoning, Shandong and Zhejiang provinces around the Bohai Sea have also planned many offshore wind power bases project. Taking Shandong Province as an example, last year it was clearly stated that three offshore wind power bases were planned, namely, Bozhong Base, 8.9 million kilowatts, Peninsula North Base, 300,000 kilowatts, and Peninsula South Base, 6.8 million kilowatts, for a total of 41 wind farms.

At the same time, companies such as Shanghai Electric, Envision Energy, Goldwind Technology, Mingyang Intelligent, China Shipbuilding Corporation, Huaneng Group, Three Gorges New Energy, and China General Nuclear Power New Energy have also joined the "camp" of offshore wind power base construction. Shanghai Electric alone has three offshore wind power production bases in Shantou, Guangdong, Putian, Fujian, and Rudong, Jiangsu. At the beginning of this year, Guangxi, which is not rich in offshore wind power resources, also targeted offshore wind power bases. On January 6, the Guangxi Qinzhou International Offshore Wind Power Industrial Park officially started construction, aiming to build a high-end offshore wind power industry chain equipment manufacturing base, a offshore emerging industry cultivation base, an integrated offshore wind power operation and maintenance center, a high-standard R&D center, and offshore wind power The tens of millions of kilowatts of offshore wind power industry chain base including the big data center.
